För andra året i rad arrangerar sokratiska institutet, ett internationellt sommarseminarium. Då träffas folk från olika länder i lilla Höganäs i Nordvästra Skåne för att fördjupa kunskap om, praktisera och reflektera tillsammans över sokratisk praktik. Seminariet 2026 har fokus på filosofi med barn och vi gästas av Maughn Gregory (P4C, läs mer här ) som kommer hålla några av helgens workshops. Seminariet hålls på engelska. Seminariet hålls i en informell atmosfär där lokalen är ett båthus i hamnen och vi hjälps åt med det praktiska som kaffe och disk. Detta är ingen kurs utan möjlighet att för dig som är verksam med filosofi för barn på något sätt/verksam med sokratisk metod/sokratiska samtal/filosofisk praxis att träffa kollegor och få kollegial handledning, inspiration och feedback. Datum är 13-14 juni. Andra workshopledare är Mathias Tistelgren som också undervisar i franska IPP, Tulsa Jansson och Martin Berzell (samtliga från Sokratiska institutet). Det finns ett fåtal platser kvar.
Invitation Summer Seminar 2026
We at Sokratiska institutet are happy to announce the second summer seminar at Höganäs Boathouse in the south of Sweden on the weekend 13th -14th of June 2026. This year’s theme is philosophy for children, and we are thrilled to have Maughn Gregory,head of P4C headquarters IAPC at Montclair University in New Jersey, join us and lead some of the workshops. Note that philosophy workshops aimed at children work well with adults as well so your interest/practice does not have to be aimed at children for you to benefit from this seminar.
The seminar is a peer event, meaning it is aimed at learning more from each other and by exploring the theories and practices presented. We expect the seminar to get fully booked quite quickly. The venue is non-profit, cozy and low key, far from academic settings which we hope inspires the exploration in a constructive way. We all help out with coffee-making and washing dishes etc.

The seminar will be held between 9.30 and 16 Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th of June 2026. There will be a dinner on Saturday at 18.00 with pre-dinner drink at 17.30 and possibilities to hang out post dinner for small talks and or games.
The fee before 1st of April 2026 is:180 Euros
The fee after 1st of April 2026 is: 220 Euros
You enroll by mailing seminar@sokratiskainstitutet.se with your name, your address for invoice and if you require special food. We will then mail you an invoice.
The fee includes the seminar, coffee/tea x 4 and Saturday dinner and pre-drink.
It does not include lunch but there are several places to eat around the corner and there’s a small kitchen for those who bring their own food. The fee is non-refundable but if you cannot attend for some reason, you can transfer it to another person to go in your stead.
Höganäs is a small town and there’s another event in the town that weekend therefor it is wise to book hotel rooms asap. (Höganäs is a half hour bus ride from bigger town of Helsingborg so it would be possible to stay in Helsingborg which has considerably more hotel options.) If you are having troubles finding places to stay, let us know and we’ll ask around for private room options. N.B the location is not well adapted for wheel chairs but we can manage if you do not mind getting help in and out of (there are five stair steps) that lead into the building. There are bathrooms suited for wheel chairs at a location 100 meters from our venue.
